Product Recall & Crisis Management Contingency Planning

Using specialist product recall consultants, RQA is able to assist manufacturers of food and other consumer products in the following areas:

Desktop Review of Recall Plan

This is an efficient way to assess the gaps in your recall manual.  RQA will review your manual against industry best practice as well as FSANZ, FPA and BRC Recall Guidelines to provide recommendations for areas of improvements.

On-site Assessment of Recall Procedures

RQA will visit your manufacturing site to provide expert advice specifically related to how recall systems can work on the “ground”. During the visit the consultant will challenge some of the existing recall systems (contact lists/team responsibilities etc.) to see if there were areas of the procedures that need to be enhanced or updated, or additional training to be done.  In addition, a traceability exercise will be carried out. A comprehensive report including key performance indicators for the trace-ability exercise and recommendations are provided.  This exercise complies with FSANZ requirements for mock recall.
